Annybody know howe long it will takes .?

Nice spots on the way ?

I will stamp for my 2e touristvisa entry

Tips are welcome

It's about 300 KM. It's about 5 hours by car, each way! I think going on a scooter would be a pain in the ass! Literally!

Avarage drive is about 60 km

I've done Surat to Phuket a couple of times (Honda Wave) about the same distance... It really is a pain in the arse :) 6hrs including lunch break and 2 stretch breaks...

A 600 Km round trip on a scooter ?

Thanks but I will give that a miss smile.png

Ive done it a few times when i have been broke. Did it once with a bar girl on the back in the rain. It takes at least 6 hours. Kao Lak is ok to stop at. The rest of the towns are very quiet

It would be best to plan for an overnight trip. Don't forget you need to take some sort of boat over to Myanmar. The Andaman Club ferry is most comfortable. If you want to go down to the port and find your own longtail then you need to stamp out of Thailand at Immigration office near the docks, then when get back to Thailand (some 2 hours later) stamp back in (and before the office closes) - a real pain in the derrier. Did it just the once in my first year here, never again. Thereafter the Andaman Club ferry.

the bus is 6 hours each way ( with a 20 minute half way stop)

u wont be any faster

rent a big bike for a day.. seriously

or at least one of those bigger pcx

4 h 54 min (296.6 km) via Route 4

It's a nice area, if I were you, I'd stop a few times to see the nice places. Let's say you're coming from Phuket, heading to Takua Pa.

Then you'll come to Kao Lak, short after Kao Lak on the left hand side is Bang Sak, a beautiful beach.

But you could also take a van and sit in an air conditioned vehicle.

Might be worth to add that the OP should never try to buy any sorts of drugs there.

I've seen when they arrested a foreign guy who wanted to buy something from a street vendor who's obviously part of the team.

But I wouldn't make the trip on a damn scooter, to be honest.

Should be no problem. That route was a part of my 3-day-trip from Nong Khai to Phuket, on a PCX 150. The last part (day 3) was Prachuap Khiri Khan to Patong, and the way from Ranong to Phuket is quite enjoyable.
