Well, the Sepang test started today for Moto GP.

Can't say I'm shocked by the names at the top of the timesheets (Lo, MM, Ped, Rossi)

Will be an interesting season ahead, seeing how the teams and riders adapt to the electronics and Michelins.

Petrucci on top of the time sheets after today.

I think a lot was affected by the big crash in the morning and the fact that riders then had to use hard rears and increased tyre pressure.

After this week's 3 day test at Phillip Island, Vinales was fastest, MM 2nd, CC 3rd and Lo 4th. Petrucci has a broken hand, and the Ducati's were midfield with Baz the fastest. Stoner was not riding as he did in Sepang. Lots of crashes on day 3, day 2 was the fastest and day1 the weather was a problem. next test in Qatar on 2 March. WSBK kicks off next Saturday 27 March at PI with a new format. (Superpole and Race1 on Saturday). Hayden is in it but Haslam has gone back to BSB

Er, that should be 27 February of course.

Looking forward to the racing today, but, as its saturday I have to work and will miss the first race. sad.png

Hopefully it will be repeated tomorrow before second race.

Must say that (at the moment) I am not in favour of splitting races across the wekend. Far better to keep them in the same day. For those only wanting a day trip without the need to search for and mess about with hotels it is a bit of a pain in the ass.

As the season progresses we will see if the racing itself changes, given that there will be one full day between races.

The break without racing is finally over smile.png

Well.

Followed the race on the WSBK Live Timing App (which is really good by the way, plus it is free).

It looked to be a good race, really close at the front until the end. Great stuff.

Looking forward to watching the second race live on TV tomorrow. Well done Jonathan Rea and Chaz D.

What a cracking WSS race.

Ant West on the podium on private R6.

Well done indeed.

Really surprised that Kenan fell. Rear tyre blow out.

Waiting for the second WSBK race now.

Should be fun.

Saw that tribute. It was good.

Looking forward to next weekend.

I was unable to see the race, had a big day and my eyes would not stay open any longer. Will try to catch a replay in a few days.

Managed to get to watch today, enjoyed the race, was gunning for Dovl he always seems to be put down by commentators very annoying.

Lorenzo was very smooth, not hoping for him to have another win though.

Good to see Suk up there the young lad Mav had poor start but kept with it.

Dovi was put down by his own team mate in Argentina. Had to push his bike across the line to get championship points, Only 12 bikes managed to stay upright.

Argentina race decision a bit weird, shame Vales second bike wasn't as good as his first.

Good on Dovi for not giving up.

I have to say this, they should of stayed with jap tyres. laugh.png

Dovi got bowled out by Dani Pedrosa this time.

Having a bit of a bad time is Dovi.

Vale also fell, his bike seemed to be going backwards on the straights (for the few straights he completed).

Would have been nice to see the Suzuki's catch up to third but they just couldn't get there.

Marc Marquez is in a class of his own again, already stretching out a decent lead in the points.

Great racing, should be more fun soon as the circus moves to Europe.

Cheers

Yes.

Near saw that coming.

Fair play to him, mixing it up for 2017.

Will interesting if he wins the championship this year, long way to go though. Thank fully.
