Central big bike parking now 500cc+

Seems like they started making the big bike parking at Central limited to 500cc bikes and up. They have a poster near the entrance now.

The security there though has a lot to learn about bikes. Went there with my Ducati and they first said I can't park there.

I said I can. They asked how many cc - only 500cc+ allowed. I said 800cc. They looked unconvinced but let me in.

Then they proceeded to do a walk-around of the bike, probably in search for a sticker stating the cc like some other bikes have.

When I came back they had no hesitation to let in a Z300, Ninja 250 and a CBR150. There were also 3 Forzas parked.

Oh well, I hope they'll learn to spot the right bikes as recently the big bike parking was full with 30-50% being scooters and I guess someone complained to management

Why should a "Big Bike" have priority parking?

One reason would be because they are "Big". They physically don't fit in the normal parking for scooters at Central.

Another reason would be they are too expensive to get thrown together with the scooters that get bumped into each other all the time.

At other places like Tesco you don't need seperate Big Bike parking because there's usually enough room and people usually don't take their big bikes there for shopping anyways. Not so at Central.

Hehe yea, the lady parking can be fun if you drive there with the girlfriend/wife, stop before and swap so the woman is the driver and can proceed parking
