Chiang mai golf membership help

Featured Replies

Getting back into golf and was considering buying a membership. Gymkhana is the cheapest but the course isn't in great shape to say the least. Only going to be staying in Chiang mai for a few more years. I'm wondering if anyone has an ex golfing buddy or whatever that only has a few years left on a membership and that would be willing to sell the remainder. Ill play about 5x a week so a membership somewhere around Chiang mai seems in order.

Thanks

Not all courses require long term membership.Mae Jo has 1 year memberships as does Highlands (i think).

It's a little further away at about 50km, but Chiang Mai Inthanon has a 5 year membership for 20,000B. Golf with caddie will then cost 400B along with other discounts and privileges. North Hill has a 1 year for 7,000B, golf with caddie will cost 80B.

80 baht total, green fee and caddy fee? Even if Platinum/Diamond Membership card, that seems absurd.

Would mention that if playing 5x per week, you should think about location of your lodging and route to various courses. In some cases, you will spend 2 or 3 hours per day driving the damn car.

Lanna is probably your next best bet to Gymkhana, although I don't know what the membership costs. 27 holes, so there is some variety.
