CityNews – A buffalo has been valued at 5 million baht after it won the Lanna Buffalo contest at the National Agricultural Fair (NAF) at Maejo University.

The first Lanna Buffalo contest was held at Maejo University on March 2, part of the NAF event held each year to promote agriculture and local produce.

Asst.Prof.Dr. Kodchoporn Siripokakit opened the event and said that the contest was organised to engage with people interested in learning and exchanging information and experiences of buffalo, such as breeding, sickness prevention and animal food.

Don't marry a farang and your buffalo will never get sick ;)

If that buffalo is valued at 5 million, I would ask for someone to give me the 5 million. whistling.gif

My 2, Mother and son, live a life of luxury. I think they will be in next years contest! (Neck hair??) smile.pngthumbsup.gifwai.gif

dont be so pesimistic,

wine get mostly better and increase the value with the AGE :-))

dont ask for too much,

I would start with the buffalo Mahood beside :-))

She would be propably not sold with the Buffalow and will be freeeeee !!!!!

And after a long good bath .................................

Let's not forget that following a flood unleashed by the chief of the Tai gods, the 3 surviving kings and a buffalo returned to earth and taught the 3 kings how to lay out rice pattie around Diem Bien Phu and grow rice. After finishing, the buffalo died and from it a huge plant grew with giant gourds. When these were opened by the kings humankind poured forth to populate the earth.

Following this origin myth of how we all got here, we all owe a debt to the celestial buffalo. So, perhaps 5 million Bht is not such a high value?

This is from the mythical story of Khun Borom told by the Lao people, which precipitated the physical expansion of the Tai-speaking peoples to the east and south.

Of course this fine animal is not judged worth 5,000,000 baht coz he might be good to eat. Oh no. He is highly valued because of what his testicles make: top class sperm cells.

What are you worth?
