Can I change the new hotmail layout?

Featured Replies

The new layout is terrible. Can't believe they paid someone to produce that junk.

Is there any way I can revert to something more user friendly, more like it used to be?

Thanks.

Are you accessing Hotmail through the Win 10 app?

No. My computer is 7. Don't know anything about apps. One day Hotmail is fine- easy to use, full screen e mails. Now it's only 1/2 screen for the individual e mails and I have to keep moving the top of the screen or it'd only be a sliver along the bottom. So I can get a few headings when scrolling through the inbox and have to move top of screen up to read any individual e mail, then move it back down to carry on through the inbox.

If I didn't have everyone I know on Hotmail, I'd kick it away and go to Yahoo full time.

Would be pleased to help you out but, as said, nothing changed in my case.

Click on the little "clog" icon top right, you can change the layout

For mine I click on the "Gear" icon at the upper right beside my name and under "Reading Pane" select "OFF". Sounds like you have "BOTTOM" selected. If that doesn't work, if you can find "Options Link" anywhere and then set "PANE" to "OFF". Hope this helps.

Other than it showing up as Outlook.com, I see no difference in Hotmail , so I cannot relate to the OP's problem

Same for me , layout been the same for last 2 years at least! I like it it looks clean unlike Gmail and of course our friend Yahoo which is just just full of ads and spam...

Thank you, thank you, thank you ( and to those that tried to help ).

It's "hide reading pane" on my computer, not "off".

Back to normal now, hurrah.

When they changed from Hotmail to Outlook it must have decided on its own to change the layout.

Never mind the ruckus on world news forum, the specialist forums are what makes TV such a great resource.

Mods, feel free to close this thread now, thanks.
