I have ipad which I know has option for VPN setting.

I would like to be able to use my sky go from the UK while in Thailand for a few weeks. Sky go app won't allow access with a non uk IP address

Can anyone recommend VPN that you can set up on the Ipad to then use the sky go app.

I know you can download vpn software but that would only be of any use when using browser not an app.

OpenVPN app is configurable for any OpenVPN and is very stable and will remain "on" despite closing the app. iOS makes accommodations for VPN. Alternatively you can use a VPN that utilizes IPSec or L2TP or PPTP all of which have built in support in iOS.
