Hi

My right shoulder hurts and i can feel the pain trough the nerve in the arm and even in my thumb. I went to savanna massage just before the dolphin circle. After the first time it was much better. The masseuse told me i shouldn't expect too much after the first time and i should come back after two days, what i did. But then, the women wasn't there and i got the massage from another masseuse. She was quite rough and since then, it feels worse.

May be someone have a good advise?

Thanks

Can you provide some more information? Is he a physiotherapist? May be he have a website? I guess he is a foreigner. Right?

Goggle ruptured disc in neck, apart from all my fingers being numb your symptoms are the same as mine, I went 7 weeks thinking I had trapped a nerve only for an MRI scan to show I had two ruptured discs compressing the spinal cord, I'm now looking at a fairly serious operation.

I think Nigel Kelsey is English. Not sure exactly what he would call himself. On his business card (very old one) it states he is fully licenced to practice Acupuncture, Acupresuure, Sports Therapy and Electric Therapy.

I have used him in the past as a pseudo chiro and he has managed to get me back in synch - usually neck/shoulder/upper back issues.

You may also want to consider a physio based out of the Diana Driving Range complex which someone I know rated quite highly.

There a big massage place on Nua just past Tescos going towards the Suk.

If I remember correctly then it's called Healthland & they have specialists that you discuss your issues with before deciding on what type of massage treatment you need.

Go early before the korean & chinese groups turn up

I really think this topic should go in the Health Forum to get more expert advice so I will move it there

That sounds not good. Scary. I just did google it. And it sounds even worse. Good luck to you. Hope you get well.

The best and safest therapeutic massage is to be had at government hospitals and health centers.

HOWEVER, what the OP describes calls for consultation with an ortho specialist, not massage which could indeed be potentially dangerous. This may be an issue with the cervical spine and manipulations could be dangerous (that includes chiropracty - do not undergo it without first seeing an ortho).

Personally I would come in to Bangkok for this and see Dr. Wicharn at the BNH Spine Center but if determined not to leave Pattaya could try this doctor at BPH, looks well qualified

This is assuming that when you say same problem, you mean pain in the shoulder that has persisted for some time and radiates all the way down the arm. If some other type of shoulder problem have to consider whether the problem is in the shoulder joint itself vs the cervical spine which would have implications for which specialist to consult.
