Kodi, The Beast - live TV/stream problems

Featured Replies

Hello,

Hope someone can help been going round in circles for days, there's a few similar posts here but not quite...

I'm in BBK and got sent an Amazon Firestick loaded with Kodi, The Beast build. I can watch TV shows and films (little buffering not too bad), but I can not watch any live TV or football streams. They all say check the logs. I finally found how to do this with an add on but I have no idea what they mean!

I'm on True Online 13mb download / 1mb upload. Watching via a Sony Bratvia TV.

If I watch the same football streams via my MacBook (just via the browser, not using the Firestick), they play. Arghhh.

Anyone any ideas? Is it something in the settings that is wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks

The Beast is a load of bloat to be honest.

Anyway, you might have more success with these addons:

Sports Mix

NJM Soccer

But note that if you're just using free streams, don't expect much at 3pm on a Saturday

not sure how you are getting the same streams from a browser as a kodi build.

all builds need updating, as do addons.

the best way would be to try different addons, thereby different streams, try a reliable stream such as filmon and see if that makes a difference, with all 'kodi' builds live tv is the hardest to watch as no buffer can be built up, to my thinking firesticks are not the best of divices. try some facebook groups for help, i will send some that i use by pm, maybe they will help.

Never had much success with any build….they all fizzle out after a bit.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

The football example was front row sports, I could see the stream via Sports Devil (and it didn't work on Kodi) but when I went to the front row website it did. That did throw me. Same thing with VIP Box.

Steve, just about to reply, thanks!

There are some newly released add-ons for Kodi that aim at both live streaming of TV networks and sports channels, both for the U.S. and other sources.

I've tried a few of them thus far with mixed results. I'd say take a look at TV Time and Live Mix as mentioned in the blog post below:
