I don't know about fencing or magic, but the unusual martial arts......go to Lumpini on a Sunday morning and you'll see lots of groups of people practicing all manner of what have you. See one you fancy and ask the group about joining. :o

Several years ago a magician came to my sons school and put on a show. He was a black American guy and he might be still around and may be interested in giving "magic" lessons. He called himself Prince Al-Fon-Zo and the number on the card he gave me is 02 379-0708

If you want to win on the street do Muay Thai, if you want to pump up your ego & pay $$ and lose on the

street do martial arts, kung <deleted>, tai chi, anything claiming to be an "internal martial art". anything

to claim CHI power which is BS

Remember in Thailand chances are in a street fight you will be facing a guy with muay thai

training, at least you will know his moves, Kung <deleted> etc vs Muay thai u lose. PM Chanobat he will

tell you also

But any full contact training is excellent. Muay thai, western boxing, UFC, PRIDE

Fencing sounds good for self defence, but keep a short blade in the other hand in case they get inside

take care
