Finding Crayfish Delights?

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

I am expecting a group of 7 to visit and this family is especially fond of crayfish and seafood sorts. I've checked in with my Thai gf but she knows not where I might find a good place for it. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Street location and all.

My thanks,

Ritz

I think the farmers market opposite Jatujuk has them, can get there on the subway, get out at Kamphang Phet or however it is spelt.

If you are looking for Crayfish cooked "Cajun style", you could always take them to the Bourbon Street Restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 22. It is a "Cajun" restaurant, and they even have live crayfish in their fish tanks for display. I have not seen too much crayfish eaten in the Thai diet, but Thais do eat alot of prawn and crab. I hope this helps. I am not an expert on food; but whenever I have a taste for "Cajun" food, I go to the Bourbon Street restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 22. And I know that they have crayfish.

Some people call Spiny lobsters Crayfish. If it's seafood you want, you won't be disappointed with the Seafood Market on Sukhumvit Soi 24. It's actually a large seafood restaurant with nearly any type of seafood you can imagine.

I thought crawdads were mainly an American thing. Yum, crawdad gumbo.

Yep i can second Bourbon Street for Crayfish. If you speak to them they would probably sell you uncooked if you wanted!

Seafood restaurant on Soi 24 is a huge rippoff, go there if you want to pay way to much or are thai and want to impress someone with how much you can overpay for a feed of fish.
