Every year around this time, Pattaya City Hall arranges a street cleaning exercise on Walking Street in preparation for the High Season Months. This year the street cleaning took place early on Thursday Morning and was overseen by Khun Niran, the Mayor of Pattaya. The event attracted many foreigners who decided to do their bit and, armed with brooms and plenty of water, joined city hall workers and scrubbed the surface of the street which is now clean and ready for the hundred and thousands of feet which will pass through the street in the coming months.

Why wheren't they ( the foreigners ) arrested for working without a work permit ?

seems even the mayor is condoning this illeagal activity :o

A washed and scrubbed Walking Street provides a clean surface to sleep on for all those British football hooligans when they collapse in a drunken stupor. :o

Not only the street but under as well. I was there last week in the afternoon, an orange truck with a crew were gathered around a drain cover. I slowed down to see them pull out a guy in his underwear, covered in sh!t from head to toe. :o Haven't they ever heard of or seen neoprene suits?

Just has to be the sh!tt!est job in the world. :D
