DotVPN - better than VPN - Opera add-ons / Any views on this ?

Featured Replies

But not in the Uk it Opera said yesterday . we have to wait for others than what is listed .

I am using Browsec , wokks on Chrome with a UK vpn Ok free but not on Opera or Firefox .

No need for an Opera add-on for VPN. It's now built inside the browser:

However, at the moment it's infeasibly slow. Couldn't even connect to the (default) Canada server. I suspect, however, this is simply teething troubles, with a large number of curious people wanting to try this out.

The available locations look a bit odd - US, Canada, Germany - given that the VPN is being provided by SurfEasy who currently only claim servers in United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and Brazil.

no no I'm not going to risk my privacy on Opera. There's always a catch with free VPNs. Take hola for example, the service was selling user's bandwidth. I'm sticking with Ivacy VPN. So Opera, thanks, but no thanks!

I just downloaded the developer version of Opera with the built-in and free VPN service. It's working well for me and not at all slow.

The Opera built in thing is not really a true VPN but acts more like a secure proxy. Keep in mind when you use it you give Opera complete access to where you browse and what you do.

Perhaps you'd care to explain in somewhat more precise and technical terms what you mean by that?
