All rehydration drinks contain some glucose, they have to because it is required for gastric absorption of the water and electrolytes.

I started drinking a gallon of water a day about six months ago. Nowdays I drink half juice half water if I want a sweet drink. Lost weight as it curbed the appetite and have more energy.....The sports drink I favored was the one found at Family Mart, Pocari Swett. It has a light bluish color and it comes from Japan hence the duty stamp. real nice flavor. I used to mix it with sake and crushed ice, called them Samurai Coolers....

Thanks, lujanit. I was about post this myself.

I use a "low-sodium" salt, which - surprise - has potassium salts added.

I also use plain sugar, since you actually want something that will be absorbed quickly. Your mileage may vary.

Also, any citrus will work, although your recipe looks quite tasty.

I'm not in-country right now, and I'd love to try the Thai Red Bull. How is it different from the exported product?

the Thai red bull extra is exactly the same as the European version minus the carbonated water. The Thai version is much sweeter
