Apologies, I think this has been discussed, but I couldn't find the thread.

Monday the 2nd of May is designated Labour Day and is "observed".

Does this mean Immigration and the Banks are closed on this day? I know 5 and 6 of May are holidays.

Immigration will be open on the 2nd. Banks will be closed.

A bit inconvenient, I have to get bank letters before going to immigration, and they want them to be very current.

The mini bank branches will be open but I suspect most cannot do the letter.

If using Chaeng Wattana I think the branches there will be open.

May I ask, I have tried to find it but have not been able to. is there a list over the dates in 2016 when the immigration is closed??

I was able to get the bank letters yesterday at an agency in Tesco, here at Phuket.

Off to tackle Immi today.

Thank you guys for helping me out. I will stick to the list of public holidays,,, even though that it starts with an exception i.e. 2nd may is a public holiday and immigration is open anyway you say..
