Zinc Picolinate

Featured Replies

Looking to buy Zinc Picolinate either mail order or over the counter in Thailand - has anyone seen these for sale ?

Thanks

iHerb in the US have them and if you order them make sure you get them sent by normal airmail........cheap and no customs worries (normally).

Boots sells Chelated Zinc.

Unfortunately that is what most places sell

Boots sells Chelated Zinc.

Their labeling of their bottled Boots brand Zinc is quite misleading too. It shows 75mg on the front label but on the back in tiny print it says each tablet contains 15mg of actual Zinc. I think in other countries the law requires the elemental weight to be shown.

On iherb I believe when it says 50mg for a mineral supplement it actually means 50mg of the pure element, not the chelated weight.

Found Zinc Picolinate in Thailand - mail order from BKK & very good service. :

It looks like that site simply resells items from iherb. I've compared prices and have determined that it would be cheaper to order from iherb. It has been quite reliable, with a flat 4 USD delivery fee.

Yes I saw that but when I went onto iherb site (they are also re sellers) I was told there could be problems with the Customs department in Thailand and they could refuse them ?

That message refers to DHL Express or UPS International. If you read other threads you will find that many people have been receiving what they ordered with iherb, so chance of success is very high. From other sources it's less known. My first ever order recently arrived after 12 days without problem.

Here are some threads:

Has anyone received an order from iHerb recently?

Optimal amounts for successful delivery of nutritional supplements

Two of my last three iherb orders never arrived. Iherb refunded my money but something isn't working as well as before. Might just be my local post office.....

Interesting............I rec'd my last order a couple of weeks ago, sent via normal airmail. How were yours posted?

The same, airmail with no tracking. They refunded my money after two months with no delivery which was reasonable I thought. I don't expect they will refund a third time, although the customer service rep says that sometimes they do get packages returned from Thailand.
