Google voice search fantastic but where did Mic go?

Featured Replies

Two issues

1. Using W10+Chrome

In Google search window the little Mic is suddenly gone. Web search gives many answers but all are from 2013 or so. Strange. I just want the little Mic back, no stupid calling" Hallo Google"

How to get this without simultaneously downloading something undesirable?

2. HTC ONE + Android

Here I use Google search even more often But

in the past searches in English or German would be understood, no switching in Preferences.

Lately I must manually switch language settings. Only a little annoyance but even scrolling down the 8 English Version down to US English is cumbersome.

Where it really becomes more cumbersome is, I use English/ German text dictation =

for many programs/apps, like KEEP, ThaiVisa, Google Docs, Evernote, Gmail

All of them are language-wise connected logically connected to the Android Key Board + the little Google Mic.

I wonder is there an apps which facilitates Language switching?

I don´t mind switching manually per se, because the 1 Language Search results seem to be more accurate

I just knew it............one of these unannounced Windows 10 updates was the culprit.

As of yesterday the voice search Mic is back in the Google search

As of yesterday I can again select several languages for voice search.

This works also for dictations.

I would actually prefer a little app which allows me to switch quickly between 2 languages.

Why? Google voice can get very confused and garbled between languages.

As of yesterday
