Honda Jazz, faulty airbags.

Featured Replies

My daughter owns a Honda Jazz, the other day we received a letter

from the local Honda agent we purchased the car from, informing us

that there is a fault with the passenger airbags, please book an

appointment for a free exchange and fix the problem.

So phone this morning to make an appointment, sorry no parts left,

no parts in whole of Thailand, don't know when stock will be back

in again, will phone you (Yeah, sure never had a Thai phone back)

surely common sense would say we sold xxx cars,so xxx spares

needed.

Has any other Jazz owner received the letter and had repair done?

regards Worgeordie

Had a Honda City airbags replaced, they phoned up to make an appointment.

We received the letter back in December and had the Jazz airbag changed.

Your daughter should call Honda head office for an explanation.

Didn't receive a letter but took my 2012 Jazz in for a service this week, they replaced the driver's airbag at the same time. I booked it in that morning and they told me over the phone the bag needed replacing. Obviously the parts are around, but maybe if your daughter's car is a different model they may have to replace the passenger's airbag, or maybe a different part number? Or maybe the dealer is feeling lazy. biggrin.png

I asked our dealership about...They checked the records showing that was done on our last service.
