CityNews – An ex-teacher was arrested at the Golden Triangle after being on the run from police after he was found guilty of corruption and stealing exam fees in over 20 schools.

35-year-old Suwit Sanprapa was arrested at the Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai by police on June 28.

The sign on the right says กองทัพเรือ which is the Royal Thai Navy. Isn't Chiang Rai a fair way from the sea ?

Indeed it is but Chiang Rai province contains The Golden Triangle which is on the Mekong so I guess that is the connection with the RTN and the sea..
