SARABURI: Police have decided to file premeditated murder charge against a man who killed a Saraburi schoolteacher in a failed rape attempt at the victim’s apartment room last month.

Pol Maj-Gen Thiti Saengsawang, commander of Saraburi provincial police, evidences collected so far show that the suspect, Chatri Ruamsoongnern, intended to rape and rob the victim, Ms Chularat Thowanna, 26-year old science and mathematics teacher at Saeng Witthaya school in Kaeng Khoi district of Saraburi.

Autopsy of the victim shows that she was not raped as there were no traces of semen in her genetal, said Pol Lt-Gen Chaiwat Kaetworachai, commissioner of Region One Provincial Police Bureau.

But four fatal wounds on her neck caused her death, he added.

Police also said that they were waiting for behavioural report of the suspect.

You don't need semen in the genitles for it to be rape.

This is a concern, pre-med murder won't stick. If they can't get him under a rape&murder charge (which carries a minimum life sentence/execution) he'll be out again in a few years to claim his third victim.
