CityNews – Between July 2 and July 3, there were many reports of several pickpockets working around Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. After extensive investigation, police this week arrested one Vietnamese man and a Cambodian Man in connection to the thefts.

Three separate tourists provided information to the pickpocket at the temple, which helped in leading the investigation.

a lucky catch.

usually the pickpockets are so nimble that it is

difficult to catch them.

maybe their haul was no sufficient and they continued

their activities too far.

The chap with the smile looks very much like the one who tried it on me 5 years ago near Pantip Plaza, and the one squatting looks like his mate who threw money on the floor and tried to trip me.

It is the oldest trick in the book and so obvious.

The squatter got a kick in the head for his troubles and the actual pick pocket got a smack in the mouth, I tried to hold on to his bag strap but I had a heavy suitcase and it got in the way.

It also stopped me from chasing him because I would have lost it, but I went looking for him 3 day later and saw him on the opposite side of the road but in trying to get across all those lanes of traffic and horns blaring he saw me coming and ran off like the rat he is.

Had I got him and indeed if I ever see him again I will maimed the b--------d without a moments hesitation.

To remove someone's identity and steal all that he or she has worked very hard for is in my estimation is akin to murder and should be dealt with accordingly.

For sure he would need a very very close friend to wipe his rear end after I had finished.

I just hope that the hardest judge in Thailand presides over this case because if nothing else pickpockets are a serious slight on the honour of every Thai in this great country

( after 5 years I could be wrong about the two mentioned herein because now the only identifying features are the bag strap although not the same one and the Moustache )
