HUA HIN:-- A 19 year old former Hua Hin bargirl has been arrested for murder after befriending a woman on Facebook.

The woman, named only as "Nat" was rounded up with her 15 year old boyfriend named as "Tar".

The first year tech school student was her accomplice and was also charged with murder.

Both have admitted to killing Hua Hin interior designer Sodaphan (Kaew) Khamsin, 36, who was found hanging from a shower fitting in her downtown apartment on Sunday.

Police who found the body of Sodaphan quickly realized that the Tha Yang native had not committed suicide as the murderers had hoped to show.

Angry voices had been heard coming from the room and besides, CCTV footage revealed that a woman and a young man had entered with the deceased before rushing out some time later.

Nat said that she had befriended Sodaphan after they chatted on Facebook. They became friends and the victim gave her several 10,000s of baht to look after herself. But when Sodaphan discovered that Nat had a lover she wanted the money back.

They had all gone to the apartment to talk about the matter. Once there an argument broke out with Nat - who was a former bargirl in the area - grabbing a pillow to suffocate her erstwhile friend while Tar held her feet.

When the victim was still they fashioned a noose out of a bed sheet and hanged her from the shower nozzle in the bathroom before fleeing with her phone and key. They dumped the key and got on a motorcycle taxi to Hua Hin station.

They gave the motorcycle guy the phone as payment for the ride. They intended to flee the area but were soon rounded up by police and interrogated.

They eventually admitted to their crime and were both charged with murder and theft. Only Nat was paraded for the press at a news conference yesterday in Hua Hin.

a partner in crime. the other surprising and disturbing

fact is to treat human life so cheap. for 10k baht just

annihilate another person.

the prompt police action to apprehend the culprits is laudable.

Because identifying someone not convicted of anything is up to the person to be charged, if you don't want your face shown it won't be.  Nothing to do with her age.

Perhaps. On the other hand,  it seems to me that the older woman attempted to  exploit the younger woman. She provided money, but as soon as she found out that the woman had a young male lover, demanded her "charity"  payment returned.  Know how this reads to me? Old frumpy lesbian wanted a young woman as her sex partner.  It doesn't work when Farangs  try to do it with Thai sex workers either.
