Another look at Thailand sex tourism, a subject than never seems to invoke comments and stories from holier than thou people

who knows nothing about the sex trade in this country and still think that sex workers need ' to be rescued '.......

SEX TOURISM is more prolific than you think.

And although prostitution is technically illegal in Thailand, the nation has more than 123,000 sex workers, who contribute up to 10 per cent of the country’s GDP.

Hundreds of thousands of Australians crowd into the steamy streets each year, and while some prefer the beach or the buzzing nightclubs, others make a beeline for Thailand’s dark underbelly. They seek out the neighbourhoods where women are bought and sold like meat, where even their most sordid sexual desires can be satisfied if the price is right.

We  want sex tourism gone.

Underage yes, but wait a minute many girls go into the Thai sex industry of their own accord.

Thousands of poor families would suffer great hardship, as daughter working in the sex industry is their only source of income.

Prostitution is the oldest profession in the World, and it is here to stay.

Without sex work many ladies would have no income, no future.

So Thailand has got a reputation as the sex capital of the World, brings in big money for the country, Without it Thailand would

struggle to survive on rice alone.

In no way shape or form is Thailand's GDP dependant on the sex industry, not even remotely, not even a little bit.

And if you think the economy is "rice alone" you need a serious rethink, start here perhaps:
