Did you stock up on beer? What's the count?

Well, the little dust-up in Hua Hin and other places has caused us to take inventory.  Time to stock up on scotch and wine again.  The cats don't seem to be consuming the kitty litter and cat food at the same pace as Hubby and I are with our "special stuff".  Still have about a month's supply of their "essentials", but down to just a week's supply for us.

I have just done a major cleanup of this topic by removing several posts that were personal attacks, baiting, bickering and replies to them.

Sadly, yes, it could be a portent of things to come, with cities on lock-down and supply lines cut.  Worst-case scenario.

Remember the 2011 floods?  Chiang Mai just had a little inconvenience from the waters (sure, you'll slag me about how some people here had water up to their second story, but it wasn't very many or for very long), but the real problems didn't start until several weeks later when the flood waters rolled into the Bangkok area and supplies to our area were disrupted for months.  So, too with this situation, the real problems may be several weeks or even months away and it could result in supplies of essentials being disrupted.  For Bangkmai   KKK, that would be beer.  For you, E/S, I guess that would be oats for your horse, unless the grass in your MaeRim paddock is better than I think.

When it comes to alcohol.  Unfortunately, I seem to operate on the All or None Principal. Sadly for my Gf I can pretty much buy around the clock 24\7 365. That being said I tend only to drink periodically nowadays having given up drinking for the sake of drinking. Also got tired of the sullen looks my gf gives me when I go to buy a bottle of Jack or one of those enormous cartons of saki. She now realizes that most of it won't end up in recipes. Aside from the Chinese wine.

again you have very conviently side stepped the main  point in my post

that was... the Little Dust Up... ,as you clearly stated ,  WAS  13  bombings,  across 5 provinces, which resulted in 4 deaths, and 35 injured

A Little Dust Up????? with that kind of casualitys  stats so far, plus  the  widespread of the bombings !!!!!,   afraid you belong in disney land

and selfishly   your main concern is  personal grog supplies!!!!!!???? what about the  immediate familys grief of the dead and injured???

and now you are in Gah  Gah  Land, posting a remote possibilty of  a city lock down, and supply lines cut!!!!!

as for E.S stable, always has  one case of   Beerlao Dark , in reserve:D

its  a   Ripper of good morning to all

Then vendetta continues. Does anyone remember (or care) what is really troubling E/S?

the problem appears to be that 'evenstevens' feels that 4 deaths and 35 injuries due to some random bombings are more important than your alcohol supply.

 ^^^^^Partly u are on the money:D(alchol supply)

But

my  initial post#34 main sticking point, was  the Little Dust Up line, of  describing y/days bombing attacks

a  Little Dust UP, hate to see a Dust Storm

no vendetta at all by E/S, just a difference of opinion, and makes this planet go around:)

its a Nazerth afternoon to all my readers:(

manfred,

Vendetta noun

• a prolonged bitter quarrel with or campaign against someone.

Contrast with incident, single occurrence.

Actually the kitty liter and cat food is a bigger concern than the alcohol.  Those became  totally impossible to find during the 2011 flood and we were hours away from substituting shredded newspapers and human canned tuna.  We always could find some form of alcohol to keep us anesthetized.

If I were E/S's horse I'd be worried that he didn't have his eye on the prize and instead is busy parsing internet posts instead of stocking up on essentials.

not my original post. but we are not discussing incidental occurrences. is this about forward planning and allocating for procedural short falls. i did a bit of project management in my time and allocating for contingencies is just basic bum - cover.
