Suspicious stamp?

Featured Replies

A friend, pretty helpless really, came back from Vientiane and asked me to look at his visa stamp. He is worried that something has changed as the "S" has been circled and there is a red line drawn through the page. He has been living here on tourist visas for years.

Is he ok for the time being? He doesn't have the funds available for a valid visa, is ill and has nowhere to go if he has to leave Thailand.

I'm no expert but that looks like a (S) single entry visa that has been used.

If your friend is ill, how does he manage to do visa runs to Vientienne?

If he is ill he should get the health visa, 90  days at a  time, as long as he has doctors certificate certiyfing  that.

Looks normal to be.

The immigration officer circled the S for single entry, put a slash across it and marked it used.

Once in the country the visa really means nothing since it only allows a person to enter the country.

I didn't say he was at death's door. He can't work if he goes back home.
