Leaving soon to see my Thai girlfriend and do visa. ( prospect visa)

Just a couple more questions

1 Police report i know we have to go to police headquarters in bangkok, is police report in Thai or English.

And if in Thai do i need to get it translated into English.

2 Can someone tell me please how to start medical for my Thai girlfriend was told quicker if we did this frist before we lodged application.But would only be a couple of days before we lodge application is that ok or just wait for case officer to tell her need medical.

1) The test results (certificate) is given in English.

When you are at the police headquarters they will ask your girlfriend what the check is for. Tell them for Australian visa purposes - and they will know that the report need to be given in Enlish.

You can pick up the results yourself abut 7 days later, or they can send directly to the Aust Embassy. We chose to pick them up ourselved - didnt want it getting lost in post.

2) Its more than likely your girlfriend will need a medical test. I think getting it done before submitting the visa is best - they will post to Embassy. So that when you submit the application - the test results will already be in the hands of Embassy staff.

point 1 you are absolutely correct

point 2 you will definately require a medical, but it has to be done in an embassy approved facility, so I would suggest you contact the embassy or DIMA for a list of these.

Just got some great news today wife got spouse visa in 4 weeks. I think it would be the same for you.

We put the application in on a monday morning then did the police thing and the medical on the tuesday.The only thing we had to do was translate id card and birth certificate into english and we gave that to them the day of the interview.Then we got the good news 2 weeks later fantastic :o:D:D:D:D
