First of all, I know very little about computers since during my time at university there weren't any.

I went to Pantip Plaza as had been recommended by a friend of mine. I wanted to get Microsoft Frontpage. Paid a 100 Baht for the Office System 2003 CD, came home, and got only files and codes when I opened Frontpage but not the website templates that I was hoping to find.

Anyone any advice as to where to find a reliable shop that really cares about its customers, and sells them the stuff they're looking for as opposed to these little shops that sell you anything for 100 Baht. it's not the money factor either for me. I was told Pantip is THE place. But with dozens of these shops employing touts, I can't tell the difference between the reliable and the unreliable shops...

Any advice?

100 baht software is not likely to be legal software and is not to be discussed on this forum. Legal software is available at the major bookstore type places and other such outlets in or out of Pantip.
