First time I have managed to get to Payoon since the construction of the 1 kilometre sea wall.

Not sure what to think of it, nice to walk along in the evening and it's made huge amount of space.

Quite sure they will probably stick in a few palms that will provide no shade.

One post and three negative comments.

How about a big plus for trying to improve the area and save the beach from erosion.

Have not see the area since the work started but I'm guessing a work in progress that may take several years to finish due to the usual budget issues in the local Amphoe Ban Chang. I have seen street re-work projects take several years to complete. Such as Payoon road from Suk to the Police box intersection and now the road widening project of beach road

Be thankful there is a nice quiet beach to walk on and enjoy

As I said in my original post I'm not sure what I think at the moment so welcome positive and negative comments.
As for erosion, yes the path and shelters that were built on the existing beach were being washed away but no surprise there. The tiny amount of untouched beach remains as it has done for years un-eroded.
Having said all that it's great to walk along an watch the guy fishing in the evening.
I will give it 8 out of 10 :)

I am usually there December to February.  I enjoyed the walk under the trees.

Maybe they will plant new trees?

It sure is a change I guess we will just have to wait and see what is next and enjoy what is there for now.
