Baby Monitor

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I could buy a baby monitor on Samui? Tried Tesco, no luck.

Even if I could hire one for a few weeks.

TIA

Try Central Dept store in Chaweng -  first floor, they have a good selection of baby items and equipment

When visiting friends houses I've used iSitter (on iPhone and iPad)...

We'd have the iPad Sat up in the Bedroom (or wherever) and use that as the 'Source' streaming Video and Sound to my Phone...

It needed a Wifi network (both devices logged in to the same Wifi network).

I found this to be a reliable alternative to a BabyMonitor - but the constant video stream on my phone did drain the battery fairly quickly and I couldn't use my phone for anything else.

Baby-best-buy (http://www.thailandbabybestbuy.com) would be a good place to start - perhaps you could have a Thai call up some of the companies who may actually mail a device to you on Samui.

Alternatively there may be some second hand models available if check the local classifieds.

At home we used to use a Samsung Monitor and Camera - I don't think we've used it in the past 6 months !!!

Samui mart in Naton might have them, otherwise try Lazada or e-bay if you have the time to wait.

Thank you all for suggests, I was using the iPad and calling the iPhone on Viber it worked, but I couldn't use the devices for anything else so bought a monitor today.

that will teach me for leaving ours at home.

Once again thanks.
