Will be there for a few days...taking the clubs ...wifes relative is in the Navy and seems to do little so probably not exactly be one of the lower grades. He took me on a guided tour of the base a few weeks ago.

So wife and I are looking to play the Navy course ..between the rains!...what I read it seems okay...anyone played it recently etc

drove past today in the rain, looks really good

Nice and gree then ... thanks ...

All 4 nines are interesting but North and West are considered to be the harder challenge and generally in better condition. North has the lighthouse hole - par 3 to a green surrounded on all 4 sides by water with a lighthouse on the back of it. If very wet south and east can be very soft.

Last played it about 10 days ago and condition was ok - greens not as fast as they can be and still not fully recovered from the coring. Recent rain should help a lot.

Only course I believe where the caddy fee is still only 250 baht..........

Yes ... my wife and I played there last Wednesday and Friday ... played I think the easier courses (must have been the easier course as I only lost one ball each time!). We both thought that everything was in good condition and the caddies were quite knowledgeable.

We paid 1750thb ... that was for two green fees, two caddies and a buggy. I was told that it's now 1100thb each if you have a buggy on your own, a short while ago it was 1000thb apparently.

We stayed at 4Palms Resort in Bang Sera ... a brand new resort, built to a very high standard. Rooms that would put many 4* hotels to shame and a nice pool.

Now Mrs Jas likes the area so much and the course, that she has suggested renting a small condo in the area. Anyone want to rent membership at Muang Ake ....
