I use my Motorola v975 as my modem but can only stay on line for 1-2 hours without recharging my phone battery. When I down/up load any large files this is a pain

Is there a device that I could use as a modem that plugs into the mains.

How does your phone connect to the PC ?

I connect mine USB cable and it powers the phone also.

If you connect using IR or Blue Tooth you could just plug the charger in.

You can get a PCMCIA card - you can put your sim into it and slot it into your computer. They're not cheap though - around 10,000 baht!

You can search on the forum for info.

I use GPRS and Bluetooth as my internet connection on my Nokia 6260 and just leave the charger connected all the time. 4 or 5 hours, no problem, but it is a Nokia phone.
