How to prevent an update to install

Featured Replies

Hi

I got problems with the KB3193494 ( September ) update, windows didn't start anymore, forced to restore, so I disabled the updates,

but after all I want to install the new updates in the future but this one  ; how to prevent this update to install, because of course if I enable the update,

the KB3193494  update will be the first to install  again and windows will not start again  many people had problems with this update

thank you for your help

Next time the update comes up right click on it and select - Hide this Update.

This will stop it from showing up again.

You can always get the update back in the future by going to - Show Hidden Updates.

:-)

Might as well forget it, as MS are about to start bundling all updates into one, so it's all or nothing.
