Computerized wood Furniture making in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.  no idea which section of the forum to put this in but this seemed like the best choice.

I want to make a special bed/desk combo.  I have the .dwg file (autocad, etc) and looking for a furnitre maker who can cut it all out and assemble it for me.  I have the metal hardware and instructions too.

Any ideas?

You might want to indicate where you are located as this will likely have to be a local furniture maker - and not sure any will be able to understand your drawing.  You might want to really DIY and just specify the parts to make.

So no one has any idea?

Is there someone who might be able to just cut the wood for me?

You are aware wood is scarce and expensive in this country?  Most things these days are not being made of real wood anymore.  Perhaps your best best would be the wood door makers - many of them do there own work and have woodworking equipment - but they may not be able to understand or source what you need.

There are a few such shops on Latphao Road across from Chok Chai 4 and have seen on Ram Intra Road but suspect they are scattered over the city - perhaps have a Thai ask a motorcycle driver for some near you.

out by Bang Sue is a street that only does wood , they make doors , cabinets , etc and has  a lot of neat tools for doing woodwork ,

its been a few years since I have been there and at that time did not see any CNC cutters , but its a neat place to stumble around anyway,

Maybe someone remembers the street name , its a little far to walk from the MRT station
