Nothing wrong with whats in place right now.Phetchabun /Phitlok use Central forum as geographic placed. Other geo areas are represented too. Dont think iy needs filtering down any further given the posts/use in those regional forums to date.

First, why would anyone be against something he/she will not even participate in?

Then, I guess Khon Kaen is too small?  The local KKC Forums are just a few silly old men sharing naked photos with each other, and talking down to anyone new trying to add comments.

So true , old men turning it into a Chatroom , and never any area info, just 3or4 owning it like they are in a Golf Club and those are our Chairs !!. What the Hell that non Thai last section is for.?. About some backwards State. .may as well be Strictly Dancing as relevant goes   Everyone has an Agenda so cant please all.

I moved form CM to Rayong, so started to look at the Eastern Forum. Don't really bother much with it now, as if you post it garners few replies and rarely a new topic posted. Imagine would be similar in other less popular regions.

You may have noticed that now I am not commenting on posts from members.

I have been advised that it is not a good policy to do so as some may regard it

as an attempt to influence the Poll.

Nothing could have been further from my mind but may have unconsciously

done so.

Except of course if you are living there.

Speaking only for Phitsanulok, we would guesstimate (in the province) there must be at least 500 foreigners living here full time, or at least basing themselves here. Through personal experience, it is only a small percentage that you will see out on a regular basis, with lots of cases of people not knowing where to go being the only reason they aren't out joining in.

I'm another that would be 100% behind the idea.

How many  read Thai Visa?  Actually, how many  even comprehend the English language? 10? 50?

Yes of course, there is that as well. Truthful answer is I have no idea. Sometimes we forget that not everyone is a member of TV.

Funny, I don't even know if people in the closer knit group that I acquaint with up here are members, just something I never ask. Respecting anonymity I suppose.............................;)

It would be great if Northerners could view each other as part of the same group instead of as separate tribes.  As I said, however, I doubt anyone would agree with me.

Y i man.

If you want a case study in how things can go horribly wrong on a sub forum, try searching the moderator’s archives for the debacle about four years back on the Chiang Rai forum.

With something like 76 or 77 provinces I am not sure ALL can be mentioned.

With 76 Provinces and one Special Administrative Division that would give an average of around 6.4 provinces  from each of the present number of 12 sub forums. Maybe all that needs to be done is do with all forums what has been done with the central sub forum and list the provinces included at the top under the name of the " Central Thailand Forum ".

Yeah it's not Rocket science is it,  why the powers that be can't add missing provinces in the existing forums as they are now is not much to ask surely.

Whether 12 forums are needed is another question.

My god people ... it's simply sub forums, you will not be forced to visit/read/participate in them. The level of negative petty nit-picking on topics which in the big scheme of things are not really that important, or relative to those complaining, absolutely has me shaking my head.

Are you shaking your head literally or figuratively?? I feel it is important that we be told.

I mean honestly, it is exactly this sort of imprecision and ambiguity that has me.... well not exactly shaking my head but definitely reaching for the milk chocolate digestives. Actually  prefer dark chocolate but these had 25% off and I can't resist a bargain.

Wonder if I dare risk a cup of cocoa later, don't want to be up and down all night like I was last night. If I am I might just as well have gone out to the "pub" as it were to watch the football.
