I was fooling around with my profile, clicked on "male", and now this shows up under my avatar. I 'm OK with gender showing in my profile, but I don't want it to show under my avatar when I post. Thanks.

In fact I don't see anybody's gender (except my own) under their avatars.

Yeah, I think we only see our own gender (do we actually need reminding?).

 

I've flipped it back to "Not Telling" anyway.

Is there anyway to hide gender from showing under the avatar even if the individual forum member is the only one seeing it? Kind of annoying, or is it just me?

You can edit your profile to change the entry for gender to "Not telling". That's the best that the forum software offers.
