Retirement visa and moving to another province

Featured Replies

What do I do when moving to another province in relation to the retirement visa I have and which was last renewed in July.

Thanks

You need to submit a change of address form (TM.28) to the immigration office that covers your new address. It's probably also worth submitting form TM.30 at the same time. That is the form used by the Owner/House-master to report that you live in their property. Many offices seem to want that these days. Once you have formally changed your address you can make 90 day reports at the new office as well as apply for your next extension of stay.

Be careful ,I just moved provinces , went to local immigration to change address and visa ect. , They wanted to fine my wife for not registering me straight away ,I said we only moved last night , they still charged me 300baht for doing this .

If you have a tabian ban, before leaving you must go to your amphoe and tell them you are leaving, they will give a document which certifies you leave, you new amphoe will ask for this document to make  a new tabian ban ( it happened to me , I must come back to my old ampoe to have this document )

Where do you live?  (i.e. Which Immigrations office is involved?)

Oops.  Just saw "Location:Prachinburi province" beneath your avatar.

(And there is no option for strikeout text in the edit function.)

I swear, if I "retire" there or choose to go the Elite Visa route, I will leave the country every 88 days to avoid 90 day reporting paperwork and other things.  I will just schedule my out of country trips that way to all the other places I would like to visit anyway
