Foodpanda

Featured Replies

Foodpanda is a smartphone app on which restaurants and fast food places offer their food for home delivery (for a fee).  The Hua Hin area is included on Foodpanda and used to have lots (several dozen?) restaurants participating.  In the last week I've looked a few times and the only participating "restaurant" is McDonalds.  What happened to the rest of the venues?

Apparently hua hin butler lost the contract with food panda. So you now have to go via hua hin butler site. I ordered on food panda for McDonald's and they called me saying don't use food panda anymore. It was actually a McDonald's delivery bike that came to my home. So I'm now uninstalling the food panda app. It was great while it lasted.

I think it's the same in Phuket. A friend of mine was complaining about not being able to order any food online and when I checked Food Panda all they had listed was McDonalds as well. I then laughed at her as in Pattaya we have around 82 different restaurants to chose from ! :w00t:

Thanks for the explanation, now I know to not keep checking the app hoping it springs back to "normal."   I will keep the app as I frequently am in Bangkok and Pattaya and might use it there.
