Best way to fly Bangkok to Philippines?
Yes, they were handling my apartment booking for the UK and they were the link between me and the apartment staff, so I had to go through them everytime I had a question for the staff and when I asked them then clicked the reply I was told most times that the email address did not exist, although the odd time it did, so I would not recommend booking.com -

Jet Pump Sand Blocking Water Head Flap
One of our bores is a Hitachi jet pump. Every now and then, sand or small pebbles lodge in the water intake and stop the flap on the bottom of the pipe from closing, therefore all the pump water drains out and the pump won't pump as it has no head of water. When this happens we have to lift up the 15m of pipe, clean out the debris so the flap will seal, then start again. This is a pain. I need to come up with a better solution. The jet head is down the well at the bottom of the inlet pipe. Would moving the jet head to the top of the pipe near the pump motor make any difference? Wrapping the ventuti and pipe inlet in some thin plastic gause? Maybe replacing the jet pump with a conventional pump as the depth of pipe is only about 15m. The pump is for back-up and irrigation, but Sod's Law states that everytime we go away something will happen to our other 60m main bore setup. -

What is the tax treaty between Canada and Thailand?
Out of curiosity, I took a closer (albeit not conclusive for me) look at the Canada - Thai DTA article-18 for Pensions. I note it states: So this is clear ...that CPP (Canada Pension Plan) and OAS (Old Age Security) are ONLY taxable in Canada (the Contracting State and the first mentioned state). I note thou, that an RRSP/RRIF is a registered savings plan that need not be for past employment. Rather it is a saving to assist in retirement, although one's annual contribution limit to an RRSP does have a ceiling based on one's income - and so - does that make an RRSP/RRIF a pension/similar remuneration for past employment? Para-2 of article-18 is very confusing to me: For me to understand para-2, I needed to assess who is the payer of an RRSP/RRIF ? Is it the individual himself who pays himself out of his Canada based RRSP/RRIF ? or is it the financial institution (in Canada) where the RRSP/RRIF money is kept. If it is the financial institution, then it is clear the income is deemed to arise in Canada - and tax payed to Canada. But if the payer is assessed to be the individual (who permanently resides in Thailand) then the the income would deem to arise in Thailand. I assume this (income deemed to arise in Thailand) is incorrect, and the payer of the funds out of RRSP/RRIF deemed to be the financial institution holding the RRIF/RRSP (and hence this is taxed in Canada) - although frankly, the wording here in article-18, leaves a LOT to be desired. -

Who's Gonna Win The Tyson Fight?
Jake Paul is a bit of an unappealing character, and I like Tyson, so I hope Tyson wins. But Paul apparently has some punching power in his right. We will have to wait and see. My biggest hope is that Tyson doesn't get hurt in any lasting way. -

Car recommendations
I'm on the forum ... it's a given, I'm a wee bit bored. Up at 0530, dog & myself for morning P, coffee, and get some reading in. Wife still snoozing next to us. Plug drone in to charge up. On 2nd cup, done with YT, local & int'l news (HH / PKK local ... RT / int'l). Got new NY pizza recipe, and cake mix recipe from scratch. Got cream cheese out to soften to room temp, for another CheeseCake, low sugar dessert. Need to strain my kefir ... having way too much. On topic ... Toyota, caught out, following VW scam formula, which may have cost them greatly, as both losing customer trust and both closing factories. Avoid legacy auto makers, as their false old coat tail rep is waning fast with their overpriced crap ... IMHO ... lost all trust in them. MG for us ... CHINA ROCKS Spec shop always before wasting time at showrooms. MG ZS for ICE, and VS for HEV Signing off ... PEACE OUT -
