Next to a local road, been there a year that I know of.

A story. about 70 years the government gave the Bangkok Rickshaw drivers, the one's that wanted it, 25 rie of land 10 acers in cental Lopburi ,the land was part juggle part scrub land, they were told go and clear it, and it is yours.

They were a lot of takers and most stayed, a lot built houses like these, after a few years, then thay died or retied and the land passed to the family, a lot had no interest in farming and now just rent the land out to other local farmers, some land was sold.

But a few of these old houses still remain. 

A wonderful abandoned balcony, they built it for (drug) partys but now lost.

Plenty of such derelicts locations in the southernmost provinces. Much was built there for tourism, then went bust following to the bombings. You can drive along beaches lines with ruins of hotels, resorts, restaurants, lodges

No, the hotel has been abandoned for about 7 years. This is just a random page. 

Many closed or abandoned hotels in Pattaya.  Eastiny Place on Soi 8.  Was the first hotel I stayed at when I first visited Thailand inn September 2004.  It was a fine middle level hotel.  Not fancy but clean and well maintained. 

When I visited this nice big building it was abandoned and not finished.
