Hi all,

We went to register our marriage in Bang Rakam today but I only had my original (English language) divorce paper.  The clerk said it needed to be translated (and certified, I bet) - and that we could get that done in Pattaya but not in Bang Rakam. We were told to go to Pattaya, get the translation and marriage registration there, then come back for her new ID card (new last name). Brain kicking in now: could we get this done in Phitsanulok itself?  A name, phone number/address would save us an immense amount of hassle.

Thanks.

You could try PLS (Phitsanulok Language School) which is located beside the TOT offices by the river. Close to the middle bridge. I am sure they have a certified translation service, at least they used to.

Sorry I don't have any contact details.

Thanks for the great tip.  P.L.S. is in the strip just south of TOT on the river road (the CAT complex is just north of there); the translator is a very nice woman but unfortunately could not do the translation, get it typed up and certify the result until early in the new week.  It would have been 300 baht per page. So we'll do it in Pattaya on Saturday.  Since she can be busy call her first at 0819537070.  Cheers.

BTW, she suggested mailing the finished product to us. I don't know if she accepts work via mail or email.
