You'd think considering the occasion, circumstances and their recent debacle at Spurs, United would have a plan to avoid this situation, turning up an hour or 2 earlier.

So by your reasoning the mob violence was justified due to the team bus being late sad.png

Do you have any knowledge as to what hotel United were using and the arrangements made with the coach company as to the pick up time/proximity from the ground/estimated arrival time etc.A police escort is provided for all away teams and it is the police that determine the timing.

And sitting in an away dressing room twiddling your thumbs for a couple of hours before kick off especially at a dump of a ground would be your preference if you were a footballer would it whistling.gif

^Thank Hammers! Obviously MyBj's and my comments on these pages jeedup the Hammers to get the result City and WHU needed ;-)

Still waiting to see if any of the ManU fans will be posting on THEIR forum today, they've been very chipper on the City forum lately.

No doubt the Mancs deserve a rap for being late, especially as they've done it before.

But no way does that justify the behaviour.

Sadly it goes to show that there are still some simians from the shallow end of the gene pool that are allowed into matches.

I hope Wet Sham identify them and ban them for life.

Most West Ham fans will be disappointed that headlines about that will go around the world instead of what looked like a nice event to mark the Boleyn being turned into a Morrisons or a Tescos.

Much ado about nothing.

Well played West Ham!

They played very well, deserved their win IMO

Man U don't seem to have a 'heart'

Oh good grief......

Speaking immediately in the wake of the incident, West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan denied the coach had been attacked.

"There were people around it and people were being pushed in all directions but there was no attack on the coach," he told BBC Radio 5 live.

When told there were images on social media of bottles being thrown towards it, he replied: "If you check the coach, there won't be any damage."

It's outrageous at least £272m has been spent to convert the site for use as a Premier League ground but the club have contributed only £15m.

Maybe they supplied Boris with a lifetime's supply of porn. wink.png

Your lo get to enjoy it too..

From outside..

I know I can't sleep at night for the thought of it.

Horrid, horrid little club.

You'll soon have your new ground. And I'm sure the £400m cost won't hold you back for more than a decade or so.

And you'll still get to enjoy the tranquil surrounds of Tottenham and it's many convenient transport options.

Horrid, horrid little club.

They are a second/third tier club who have had a decent season.

Can't wait for the day they are back where they belong and playing

in front of 10,000.

Horrible venue long soulless walk through shopping centre and

awful view in the cheaper seats........get the binoculars out. The

fans used to the closeness of the game at Upton Park are in for

the shock of a lifetime.

It's nothing like the new Premiership grounds.

We haven't had a league gate under 10,000 since the war..

I got there about 4.30 and it was already busy round there. A lot people without tickets were planning to come anyway and stand outside listening or watch in local pubs.

Yes you would considering there were plans for fireworks etc after the game and many would miss the last train or bus home.

I bet they'll have a ground that looks like a football ground and you won't need binoculars.

Is that right the ground is being renamed to Westfield Shopping Centre Stadium?

I ask this in all seriousness

Yep. Well done Hammers. I've liked West Ham ever since MrSingh used to post on here. biggrin.png

Must admit though, that bubbles song gets on your nerves after a bit. Don't know how lifers can sing it every week

I don't know, but the owning family are big football people. They kept the game afloat in Australia.

The article I read said they were in negotiations.

I think WHU just want to call it the Westfield Stadium, not with all the bells and whistles.
