Thai Driving Licence Expired

Featured Replies

I have a 1yr Thai driving licence which has expired by about 11mths does anyone know if I can still renew this licence for a 5yr one?? I know that to get a 5yr licence then your 1yr has to expire first but is there a maximum limit after which you'll have to retake the test again?? Also my 1yr licence was issued in Pattaya but I would like to renew in Bangkok anyone know if thats possible and what documents I'll need??

Cheers

I've a friend who was 1 year late and got a new one no problem, but only for 1 year. He needed his WP and doctors cert.

I was late by 3 months - didn't need a medical and got 5 years.

I think Bangkok would be ok to do it - go along and smile and tell a joke, is the best policy. :o
