Can't navigate around the LINE app on vivo v5

Featured Replies

I recently bought a vivo v5 phone to replace my 5 year old iPhone 4s, which was on its last legs. However, I have encountered a number of glitches on the new phone. The most annoying of which is that when I go into a private chat with someone on the LINE for android  app, there is no way out. the same applies to other screens on line as well. There is no arrow link allowing me back to the chat/contacts listings, like on the app on the 4s. My iPad has a split screen, and the laptop produces multiple windows. Yet, on my new phone I just get stuck on one page and all I can do, it seems, is to hit the home button to come out of the app. When I go back into the app, it is just stuck on the same screen. All I can do is reboot the phone to free it up. I have tried sending a message to LINE help, and googling but haven't found any solution. Is there something I need to alter on my phone settings or should I try downloading a different version of the app? Thanks for any suggestions?

Hmmm, according to a BGR article...

Just below the display, you have the home button flanked by the capacitive keys for menu (long press for app switcher) on the left and back button on the right. The home button is not clickable, and also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

Thanks so much! That works perfectly.

(I'm clearly at that frustrating stage of having to get to know a new phone)

sp pleased to get a solution on here so quickly

The owner's guide might reveal some basics too?

And lots of good videos (Google: Vivo 5 tricks); it looks like that make/model has a custom ROM (Fun Touch OS)?
