No fire escape?

So  sad. But typically the majority of these  multi  level shop/house structures  only have  access through the ground  level "shop".

In the event  of  fire the only other route is to the roof which is also often caged  to prevent  entry but  therefore  prevents exit easy escape ! Smoke  Alarms  do not seem to be a priority in Thailand either.

But at such early hours of the  morning the  fumes probably incapacitated the  victims quickly. Still a horrible way to die.
