bangon04 Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 3 hours ago, Bangkok Barry said: No fire escape? " Lard Prao police said 10 family members stayed at the shop house when the fire started " obviously no need for any special precautions.
Dumbastheycome Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 So sad. But typically the majority of these multi level shop/house structures only have access through the ground level "shop". In the event of fire the only other route is to the roof which is also often caged to prevent entry but therefore prevents exit easy escape ! Smoke Alarms do not seem to be a priority in Thailand either. But at such early hours of the morning the fumes probably incapacitated the victims quickly. Still a horrible way to die.
