Beach Rd Art Festival this weekend

I like to be positive about Pattaya Arts Festival, but it is very limited in showing off the various artists and crafts from the region in Thailand. The typical mass produced oil paining are on display along with the spray-paint graffiti creations by teenagers. Where are the wood and clay sculptures? Stain glass creations? Paper creations? Palm leaf art....?? I think of all the creative items I have seen made by Thai  artists or craftsmen/women and nothing of novelty was seen (except for the metal sculpture).  The person in charge of organizing this  did not do a good job in promoting it.( A couple farang artists I know were not informed of this art festiva,) The local schools alone could have displayed works from their blooming artists. The thought that was put into this "art fair" was very limited and certainly organized by a rookie. Ok, better luck next year. Thai food booths are mostly north of Pattay Klang... the BKK food trucks $$ are south of Central Mall along the Beach Rd promenade. Some entertainment also, after 6pm.  Worth a stroll-- been a long time since we were able to buy 50baht sun glasses or 100 baht Tshirts.- those vendors are there also.

Limited is putting mildly. No comment. If you do a walk through wear eye protection. These vendors are reckless with those forked poles for hanging up items on the racks.

Won't take you long to see the art on display. Music may be worth a listen. Music is part of the "Arts" but is it art? 2 fish and chip shop vans just past Central. All is well with the world.

Well we went last night, started at the north and walked south (beach promenade) and it was okay for us not being much art persons. We liked the huge spray can paintings in bright colors by young Thais.
Very crowded the further south we went.
Good that Pattaya often makes all kind of events for every taste.
