GRAVITECH Thai (Thailand), an electronic experimental solutions firm, has set aside Bt30 million to build a research and development centre at Thailand Science Park in order to support start-ups with innovative business ideas. The facility is scheduled to open by the middle of the year.

“We decided to expand our investment to open an R&D centre and also make it our production base in Thailand, moving operations from our plant in the US, after seeing a business opportunity for Thailand to be research centre for electronic experimental solutions in the region,” founder and chief executive officer Sharnon Tulabadi told The Nation recently.

That or the owner has a Thai girlfriend or has fallen in love with the Kingdom.

Designing in Thailand is fine, but manufacturing for the outside world is noncompetitive.
