Multi-point Locking system

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen a multi-point locking system for wood double doors for sale in Thailand? Prefer 5 points but three OK. TIA

Sorry but I havn't however by far your best best is to check out the Hafele stores.

most large cities will have a dedicated hafele outlet but most large box stores sell Hafele door furniture product so they may advise you where the nearest is.

Dont get your hopes up though, you will not find the multi locking point systems in the big box stores.

oh...and expect to pay handsomely Hafele is a brand no better than anyone else but they think they are.

Strangely enough I just ordered a set of double doors yesterday with what I believe is a 5 point locking system. The lock itself comes from Italy and It's the most kick ass lock I've seen and it was the compelling reason that I bought the doors. I'm not sure if the lock will fit into wooden doors as the doors I ordered are a steel frame with a composite cladding. The doors weren't cheap and I'd say the lock itself must be in the 20,000 baht price range or more. He may have cheaper locks.

The company is Pratoo Thailand http://www.pratoothai.com/ and the guys name is Conan. He speaks perfect English. His work mobile is 0891269795 which he only answers during working hours.

Ouch!!....plus I would never trust a barbarian.

Out of interest, why do you want such security.?

I just built a house and fitted 4 sets of external doors with locks. My Yale locks were circa 400bt a piece. 6 months on, I dont even know where the keys are becaUse not one of the doors has ever been locked.

I realise I have nothing to steal and I have never even heard of a break in/burglary  in Thailand they seem more intent of creating RTA's

The OP must have lots of gold laying around.

While we've never experienced a break-in/burglary either, we have had gold and money go missing when the relatives visit or volunteer to help on home improvement projects. Yet, the family never learns to put the jewelry away or lock their bedroom doors.

I just learned to stop caring. All they ever steal from me is canned food.

I actually wanted the doors the lock is just a bonus. My door opening is 3m high and 2.8m wide so I need to get custom made doors. It's a nice house so I just want to do it right once and never have to bother with it again. I wanted a modern style and I spent 3 months looking around before I found these guys. The front doors I am getting are expensive but they are doing all the internal doors as well and the prices for those may be 40-50% higher than the guy who has a shop selling wooden doors on the side of the road near the house but the quality is 100% better.
