Lock the driver up....

What driver....the bus driver...why?

Looks to me like the pillion rider decided to get off the bike in the middle of traffic....the motorcycle pulled off a bit quickly thinking the pillion was fully off, causing the pillion to stumble in front of the bus. Had he not dismounted  in the middle of the road nothing would have happened out of the norm (for Thailand anyway).

I think the pillion rider lost his balance because the rider is unexpectedly accelerating by human mistake. As result of that, be thankful he has managed the miracle escape from definite death spot and the bike has collided another bike. Apart from that situation, I am somewhat disgusted with the aggressive bus using dangerous speed and not even making the brake but overtaking another bus. Wow, that is pretty crazy.

huh

as I see it thebike stopped and saw bus in mirror and probably either moved forward or was hit by bus into the motorbike in front. Separately the pillion passenger lost balance and stumbled off. Look at bike after bus has travelled through/past. The bike and another bike in front are both on the floor - caused either by bus hitting them or geting out of the way of the bus.

Lock the bus driver up for a typical dangerous move to undercut traffic on left hand side meanwhile nearly killing someone who either lost balance or was perhaps jerked off if rider saw bus in mirror before the bike was hit or forced to move out of the way and ram the bike in front and both fall to the floor.

??

Some real strange interpretations here!

Didn't you notice the speed of the bus coming from behind and the standstill in front?

The pillion rider saw/heard the horror coming and saved his/her life.

What I read is that the bus driver claimed the usual: break brake failure!

What else

He steered his vehicle to avoid a crash.

The bus went through this without any break brake action.

Even a Bangkok bus driver would not try this maneuver intentionally.

Narrow escape for the bike riders!

First look at the pillion rider just by herself.  She looks over her shoulder when she hears the bus roaring down on them and bails out.  Then look at her motorcycle driver.  Maybe the pillion rider says something but the driver accelerates to get out of the way.

They were lucky - and quick!

What is break failure?

And break action?

How many more brake failures do we need to see on buses before someone finally decides enough is enough. I don't mean the usual 'crackdown' I mean enforcement. The people in charge should be jailed for corporate manslaughter if you ask me.

Bangkok bus route 207.

The lucky survivor, a 27 old woman.

Thanks. With this this link, I got to see the video. Incredible bus driving.

I would have to look at it frame by frame to figure out what came first, the motorcycle passenger taking the foot off the footrest or the driver starting off again.

Just as I always say    "When it is your time --- You are going to go"......

It just wasn't his time to go...............

Edited to change it to "It just wasn't HER time to go"

If we had bigger busses we would need fewer of them and had less accidents.

This is not meant seriously.

Then why use up space???????

Trying to run up your numbers???????

If I was the pillion rider I would have been dead, I could not have moved as quickly as she did to escape the bus.

Her day to buy a few lottery tickets.

Have a look at the first orange bus before and after. Its rear is seriously bent up.

Theres no volume but lots in the frame stop or react.

I believe the 2nd yellow bus had lost its brakes and was vigorously sounding its horn , or the small white car on the left wouldnt have stopped and created a space for the yellow bus to get through.

Nothing here to do with the pillion getting off .

Its all to do with an  impending accident and other motorists quick reactions.

if no brakes, why was he travelling so fast in heavy traffic, and did he come to a stop around the corner and if he did stop, how

Just another day in the slaughter house.
