AirAsia cease Utapao-Singapore-Utapao route from 26 March onwards

AirAsia has finally decided to pull the plug on the UTP-SGP-UTP route with effect from 26 March 2017.

AirAsia hasn't provided its reasons but I guess it's not profitable.  Or it may have something to do with the new terminal at Utapao ?

I think they had better start a bus service from DMK to Pattaya City soon.  Having to take a transport to Suvarnabhumi for onward transfer to Pattaya just doesn't cut it.

disapointed to read this, i have used it a few times and the flights have always seemed fairly full :(

Very disappointing to read, I'm using the flights to Singapore and KL regularly, living next to UTP it is very convenient and time saving.

The flights I've been on were well occupied.

I hope it's temporary since Utapao will have a new terminal soon.  The flights I have been on were well occupied too, and sometimes completely full.  That was when they started to move the flights from Singapore to Utapao from 9.00 pm to 2.35 pm.  I thought they found the solution and the new schedule was working pretty well.   From Utapao to Pattaya City is just slightly less than an hour, and unlike Swampy you don't have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd bus to take you to Pattaya.
