BANGKOK — To keep some of Bangkok’s traditional appeal, City Hall announced Thursday it would allow street vendors to remain in the Khaosan Road and Chinatown areas.

 

In a rare acknowledgment that bustling street markets contribute to Bangkok’s charm and identity, City Hall announced it would exempt the two popular tourist areas from its ongoing campaign to clear vendors from sidewalks and make streets more walkable.

Chinatown is cleaned already, now we can walk over the sidewalks. Well done!

 

Kao san is not bad it's only the annoying indian touts who ruin my mood. They go standing in my way or even pull my arm/shirt...also those frogvendors are annoying. Let them go sit somewhere instead of annoying eating tourists. 

 

whats up with the nasty loud blaring music at the bars on ko sarn. are they paying off city hall.  I don't come to Thailand to get drunk
